With more than 25 years of experience in academia, I have built a career at the crossroads of education, research, and strategic leadership. I am a full professor of Business Finance at Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ)—the same institution where I completed my early studies and discovered the vocation that continues to shape my life. I earned a PhD in Business Finance with High Distinction from the University Jean Moulin Lyon 3 (France), focusing on the feasibility of infrastructure projects in Lebanon, along with master’s degrees in industrial management, commerce, and finance from USJ.
Today, I serve as Chairman and CEO of AXISSED Advisory, a strategic consulting firm dedicated to governance, innovation, and sustainable development. Alongside it, I am the President and co-founder of the AXISSED Association(Association of Excellence for Innovation Studies, Sustainability & Economic Development), an NGO that brings together Lebanese expertise and international perspectives to support research, entrepreneurship, and socio-economic transformation.
My academic commitments extend beyond Lebanon. I am affiliated with LEFMI (France) and CERNAS at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal) and have served as a visiting professor in Lille, France. I am also a faculty member of Jesuit Worldwide Learning (USA), where I teach students living in marginalized and challenging contexts, guided by the Jesuit principle of cura personalis—care for the whole person.
Over the years, my research has expanded toward the fields of innovation in business and finance, artificial intelligence, sustainability, behavioral finance, and the UN SDGs. I serve as a reviewer for multiple international peer-reviewed journals, participate in editorial boards, and contribute to global academic networks through conferences, committees, and scientific associations.
My dedication to human dignity and ethical leadership has also led me into the field of theology. After earning a diploma in religious sciences, I am now finalizing a thesis in religious sciences on Eco-theology and our responsibility toward our common home, inspired by Pope Francis’s Laudato Si’. This step marks a meaningful extension of my lifelong interest in linking sustainability, ethics, and spiritual responsibility.
Community engagement remains deeply rooted in my work. I serve as a board member of the Green Community civil society organization and volunteer in various church and school committees. Through advisory roles, I have contributed to CSR strategies and capacity-building initiatives in organizations committed to social and environmental impact.
After decades of teaching, mentoring, and leading, my passion for education continues to grow. Whether guiding graduate students, advising institutions, or accompanying communities, I invest my time, energy, ethics, and compassion into helping others learn, evolve, and lead. My vocation remains anchored in the belief that knowledge transforms, perseverance builds futures, and caring for people and our common home is a shared responsibility.
